Michelle in San Francisco

Dear Family,

I hope all of you are well!

San Francisco has been a blast, I'm really having a great time! It's a very beautiful city, you can turn a corner and walk down a street and next thing you know you see the bay.

School has been busy but it's still manageable now. I have classes almost everyday and my class has about 60 students. Everybody is from different countries from Venezuela to Lebanon to Singapore. The school building is really nice and new and modern.

Yesterday night I just had a meeting with my group members for the Hult Prize. The Hult Prize, formerly known as the Hult Global Case Challenge, is a non-profit organization that organizes a case competition to solve social problems in our society such as clean water, hunger, etc. The winning team will receive $1 million dollars to start their own company based on the case. This is a joint venture between Hult Prize, Hult International Business School, and the Clinton Global Initiative. Bill Clinton selects the topic of the case every year and the qualifying teams get to meet him in person! My friend Alissa approached me a few weeks ago to ask me if I wanted to be on her team. I said yes and things just moved along really quickly after that. Our team is very solid. The other four members are all stars. I'm somewhat humbled but this will be an amazing opportunity for me to grow.

Walked to the Golden Gate bridge from my place, took about 1.5 hours
My classmates and I doing a scavenger hunt together
for team building, we did an off-site event where we had to climb to really high heights with our team mates!

it was pretty difficult to climb and everyone is watching!
I also went to Napa Valley with a few friends who came to visit from Toronto. It is so incredibly beautiful there words can't describe it!

Last Sunday we also had a mid-autumn festival dinner organized by me and two of my classmates. We had 4 tables of people and mooncake as well!
